QUALITY& TEST

At Barathrum Silah, we take quality control seriously. Our rigorous series of tests ensure that each product is safe and reliable before it reaches our customers. All firearms are tested for accuracy, safety features, dependability in various environmental conditions, and all of these tests that we do are in accordance to the CIP and SAAMI restrictions. We understand the importance of providing you with a high-quality product that you can trust in any situation – so rest assured knowing your purchase has gone through our stringent quality control process! The products go through the following tests as listed below:

DROP TEST

Applies to: Rifles Shotguns and Handguns, This test simulates the abusive dropping of the firearm. Test Procedure - The Firearm or Firearms shall be dropped in such a way as to cause them to strike the rubber mat surface in each of the following attitudes:


  • - Barrel vertical, muzzle down.
  • - Barrel vertical, muzzle up.
  • - Barrel horizontal, bottom up.
  • - Barrel horizontal, bottom down.
  • - Barrel horizonta, left side up.
  • - Barrel horizontal, right side up.

JAR-OFF TEST

Applies to: Rifles Shotguns and Handguns, This test simulates the abusive impacting(bumping) of the firearm against a hard surface with the firearm in a condition of maximum readiness. Test Procedure - The Firearm or Firearms shall be dropped in such a way as to cause them to strike the rubber mat surface in each of the following attitudes:

  • - Barrel vertical, muzzle down.
  • - Barrel vertical, muzzle up.
  • - Barrel horizontal, bottom up.
  • - Barrel horizontal, bottom down.
  • - Barrel horizonta, left side up.
  • - Barrel horizontal, right side up.

SHOOTING TEST

Applies to: Rifles and Shotguns, This test simulates the abusive fall of a firearm when left leaning against a vertical surface. Test Procedure – The firearm shall be tested so as to fall once on its right side and once on its left side.

ROTATION TEST

Applies to: Rifles Shotguns and Handguns, This test is done to confirm that all the parts of the Firearm are functioning successfully during the shooting of the firearm so as to not cause any form of harm to the end user. Test Procedure – The firearm is shot using different weight cartridges and ammunition so as to ensure the product being tested can be used with any sort of ammunition or cartridge provided they are of the same caliber. After passing through all these tests and being approved by our quality control team, the firearm goes through one last check up before being thoroughly cleaned, greased and carefully packaged ready to be shipped to our beloved customers.
